Empowering Indigenous Business and entrepreneurs to thrive in the NT

One person, dressed in black shirt with NTIBN logo is the focus of this image. They are speaking into a microphone behind a lectern which displays a sign showing a logo which reads “Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network”. The person is addressing a room and is smiling. Three people appear in the background of the photo and are looking at the speaker.

The Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network (NTIBN) Business & Employment Hub officially launched on Wednesday 5 April 2023, in its central Darwin location.

The Hub will work across the Territory supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs and businesses on their journey to become long-term and sustainable enterprises. It will provide wrap-around business support including mentorship, business advice, training and also facilitate access to financial services.

Business participation has a significant and fundamental foundation in financial and economic security for individuals as well as their families and communities.

Through Indigenous Advancement Strategy (IAS) the Commonwealth investment of $10 million in the NTIBN to deliver the Hub is the Australian Government’s continued commitment to supporting First Nations people to overcome barriers to economic participation.
