Australian Government announces a new Indigenous Business and Employment Hub for the NT
The Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network (NTIBN) has been selected to deliver a $10 million Indigenous Business and Employment Hub in the Northern Territory.
The Northern Territory Hub is the fourth to be delivered under the Government’s ten-year Indigenous Business Sector Strategy, joining a network of established Hubs in Western Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
The Hub will provide a central place where Indigenous businesses and entrepreneurs can explore ideas, access business advice and training, connect with other corporates and tap into Government programs and opportunities.
It will support all Territory businesses to connect Indigenous suppliers and job seekers into their supply chains and workforces—all helping to improve Indigenous skills, jobs and wealth creation in Northern Australia.
The Hubs are delivered in close collaboration with state and territory governments to ensure navigating business support is streamlined and Indigenous businesses can spend more time creating jobs and growing the economy.
The Hub will also deliver a range of services online so that clients around the NT can access programs and initiatives. Further, the Hub will work with translators to support delivery of services in-language.
