Our Department is committed to the environment and has taken it's responsibility seriously by implementing the Environmental Policy Statement. Through this policy and commitment, the Department aims to reduce it's impact on the environment and comply with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, policies and initiatives.
The policy is the driver for the Department’s Environmental Management System (EMS) at One National Circuit, Barton, ACT. The EMS has been developed in line with International Standard for Environmental Management Systems ISO14001:2004.
The Green Commitment is reviewed and updated annually and outlines the areas where the Department and staff can make a difference in reducing our environmental impact in a simple practical way on a day-to day-basis.
The Department will report on its environmental performance in its Annual Reports.
