Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) regions
The Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) is the Australian Government’s new remote employment service which directly replaces the Community Development Program (CDP).
This service will commence on 1 November 2025 and will support job seekers in remote Australia to build work-ready skills, address employment barriers and contribute to their communities through a range of flexible activities.
Service providers and job seekers in the 60 RAES regions (currently known as CDP regions) will be given an opportunity to be part of the new service. It will support around 40,000 job seekers living in RAES regions which covers 75% of Australia’s landmass. This regions map and caseloads list outline the geographic distribution of the 60 RAES regions and the current caseload of CDP participants (as at 31 January 2025) by region.
