Daly River Region, Douglas/Daly River Region, Daly River Region II Land Claim Report

This Report presents the findings and recommendations of the Aboriginal Land Commissioner (Commissioner) following an inquiry into the Daly River Region Land Claim (No. 172), Douglas/Daly River Region Land Claim (No. 183), and Daly River Region II Land Claim (No. 235), traditional Aboriginal land claim applications which were made by the Northern Land Council under section 50(1)(a) of the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 on 29 May 1997 and 6 June 1997. The Report was provided to the Minister for Indigenous Australians and the Administrator of the Northern Territory on 26 June 2023.

The Commissioner recommends the grant to the traditional Aboriginal owners of the land subject to claim in the Daly River Region Land Claim, Douglas/Daly River Region Land Claim, and Daly River Region II Land Claim.
