Remote Employment Regions
The Remote Employment Service is the Australian Government’s remote employment service.
The new remote employment service will commence on 1 November 2025 and supports participants in remote Australia to build work ready skills, address employment barriers and contribute to their communities through a range of flexible activities. The new remote employment service is designed around the unique social and labour market conditions found in remote Australia.
Service providers in 60 regions across remote Australia will deliver the new remote employment service to approximately approx. 42,000 participants across 75% of Australia’s landmass. The regional map and caseloads listed below outline the geographic distribution of the new remote employment service participants across the 60 regions.
