The National Indigenous Australians Agency works with other Australian Government departments, particularly the Department of Health, and state and territory governments, to influence health policies and programs that affect the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.

Our policies and programs seek to improve health and wellbeing by addressing a range of social and cultural determinants, including improving outcomes around education, employment and remote housing, and supporting safe communities and a connection to culture and Country.
