The Quandamooka Rangers care for traditional country located on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) in Moreton Bay, Queensland. 

The rangers undertake natural and cultural resource management activities on traditional owner native title lands and seas. They do this in collaboration with Quandamooka people, management partners and other stakeholders. The rangers also undertake training in land and sea management to strengthen their professional capacity. 

Activities of the Quandamooka Rangers include:  

  • weed, feral animal and fire management  
  • biodiversity monitoring  
  • cultural heritage protection and conservation  
  • threatened species management, especially turtles  
  • on country and school activities that bring together elders and youth to transmit knowledge, cultural pride, and land management practices.
