The Recognition of Northern Land Council as a Native Title Representative Body Consultation is now closed.
The Minister for Indigenous Australians, the Hon Linda Burney MP, has invited the Central Land Council (CLC) to apply for a further term as the Native Title Representative Body (NTRB) for the Southern Northern Territory region.
A map of representative body regions is below. NTRBs help people to make Native Title claims and agreements. The CLC is currently the NTRB for the Southern Northern Territory region. Its current term expires on 30 June 2024.
Sending in a submission
People with Native Title interests in the region, and all Aboriginal people living in the region, were able to make a submission about the CLC to inform the Minister’s decision.
Submissions closed at 5:00 PM (AEST), 23 April 2024.
