First Nations Digital Inclusion Plan (FNDIP)

Welcome to the First Nations Digital Inclusion Plan (FNDIP). The FNDIP builds on the Australian Government's commitment to Target 17 of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap - by 2026 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have equal levels of digital inclusion

It provides a strategic framework and a suite of existing and proposed actions, to improve First Nations digital inclusion in three areas:

  • Access
  • Affordability
  • Digital ability

The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) developed the FNDIP in consultation with First Nations organisations and communities, businesses and government agencies, and with support from the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communication and the Arts.

Consultations included a series of virtual round tables with key stakeholders and follow up discussions. Stakeholders were also able to provide submissions on the key issues to the FNDIP.

The FNDIP is endorsed by the Australian Government's First Nations Digital Inclusion Advisory Group.
