New opportunities
Applications for the Junior Rangers grant opportunity are now closed.
Junior Ranger activities
Junior Ranger activities support on-Country learning for First Nations children and young people. The government has allocated $49.93 million over 6 years to fund up to 50 new sites that will deliver junior ranger activates from 2023-2028.
The first grant applications are now open with $23.1 million for up to 35 new sites.
Projects for First Nations primary and secondary students can include school-based activities as well on Country learning such as camps, excursions and field trips.
These activities will improve First Nations students education engagement through sharing and passing on First Nations knowledge, customary practice and caring for Country.
