Malak Malak Land Management Rangers

Back to

The Malak Malak Land Management Rangers work across 30,000 hectares of land, bordering the iconic Daly River.

The rangers actively manage invasive weed infestations. Nationally significant weeds such as mimosa, parkinsonia, salvinia and gamba and grader grasses are all targeted by the rangers. They have had great success in reducing the area of weed infestations on this land.

Other ranger activities include:

  • feral animal management
  • fire management
  • environmental monitoring
  • cultural support
  • sacred site protection
  • compliance.
