Indigenous Voice Final Report now available

The Indigenous Voice Co-design Process Final Report to the Australian Government is now available

The Minister for Indigenous Australians, the Hon Ken Wyatt AM, MP, has today released the Indigenous Voice Co-design Process Final Report to the Australian Government and announced the next steps to establish Local & Regional Voices.

Minister Wyatt said releasing the Final Report will enable broader community discussion and consultation with jurisdictions.

"It’s important to get this right. And, for the Indigenous Voice to work, it must have a strong foundation from the ground up. That’s why we’re taking the next step and starting with the Local & Regional Voice – as per the process set out in the Report," Minister Wyatt said.

The Government will now commence discussions with States, Territories and local governments to encourage participation in Local & Regional Voice arrangements, and appoint an establishment group to work government on implementation of Local & Regional Voices.
